Chapter 1607
Chapter 1607:
Hamilton's eyes turned icy as he stood to leave. “Josh, | chere out of respect for you. If you don’t give me
answers, I'll confront them myself next time. If this gets worse, don’t blme.” He walked out without another
word.
After the car pulled away, Josh turned to his secretary. “I want every inch outside Daniela’s villa covered with
jasmines.”
The secretary hesitated. “Given how furious Hamilton looked, you might need to handle this soon.”

Josh gave a dismissive chuckle. “Hamilton's old. He can’t rein in Daniela and Cedric, so he pins his hopes on that
baby. But whether it’s a boy or a girl, | won't let Daniela keep it.”
As soon as Josh finished, he dialed his siblings. His voice was sharp. “You know what mess you've made.
Hamilton barged in ranting at me. All of you, chere now.”
One hour later, Brad, Jules, and Ethan sat stiffly in Josh's living room. Josh poured them each a cup of coffee and
settled back, playing the calm big brother.
“So. Care to explain yourselves? That baby in Daniela’s belly is a McCoy by blood. What's wrong with you all? You
pulled your stunts, yet Hamilton caught you so easily. Now he wants answers from me. How do you plan to fix
this?”
Josh lifted the cup, sipping slowly. “Honestly, | didn’t plan to step in. Mason's disabled, and I'm not running
McCoy Group anymore. But you beggedto watch over things for now, and here comes Hamilton breathing
down my neck.
So | have to ask you—what now?”
Josh made it clear he had no intention of defending Daniela.
When Brad, Jules, and Ethan stepped inside, unease gnawed at them. They braced themselves, expecting Josh to
lash out.

Instead, to their surprise, he sat there looking calm and almost indifferent. Seeing this, the brothers relaxed and
exchanged faint smiles.
Brad leaned forward. “Josh, let's be honest. The next head of this family won't cfrom your branch. So there’s
no need for you to meddle in this. It’s strictly between us and Daniela.”
Jules nodded. “Exactly. Hamilton talks big, but did he ever catch us doing anything? He didn’t see a thing.”
Ethan, wearing an icy look, added, “Josh, what makes Daniela think she deserves to call herself part of this
family? And her child is definitely not one of us!”
Josh stirred his coffee and said mildly, “No matter what you think, we settled this ages ago. When Dad passed,
he made it clear—no one harms the McCoy children. You all swore to that then.”
His tone stayed calm as he spoke, and the brothers, seeing no anger from him, dropped the topic and switched
back to sipping coffee and chatting. When they got up to leave, their faces showed nothing but satisfaction.
Brad patted Josh's arm. “Josh, McCoy Group's issues are in your hands for now.”
Jules added smoothly, “We trust you to manage things well.”
