Chapter 262: I know where she is Tracy stood up. She already knew what Mist had told her. The Blood Witches had left the premises of this forest long before she arrived. Her eyes fell on the bodies that were scattered all over the ground, and a trace of sympathy flashed in those stormy grey eyes. "I am sorry." Even though she was not the one who killed them, Tracy felt their resentment. Their death wasn't peaceful, nor was it painless, leaving traces of the brutality that they had faced before they died.

"Sirens". Echo echoed as he finished glancing around. "They are all sirens, or the descendants of one. Whoever did this has sreally deep feud with sirens. Because there are more than just sirens who can be used as sacrificial offerings. But this one-she keeps targeting the sirens alone." "Or maybe she is looking for the one who will bring her experiment to fruition," corrected Tracy. She raised her hand, and a ball of blue fire erupted in her palm. "Do not forget that the prophecy did say that only the child of the sea will be able to either bring the doom of dark magic or raze it all." She flicked her hand, and the ball of fire landed on the bodies before spreading all over the ground. As the flames started to grow hotter and bigger, the dark lands ended up getting illuminated by the bluish-white glow. Tracy looked at the many silvery souls that had already turned dark with resentment and whispered, "You cannot do anything even if you stay here. Those who have killed you shall never return to these lands, for they have spilt your blood here. So you all better move on to your next life, maybe the next one will bring you peace." The souls stirred. They didn't seem too keen, but Tracy was running out of patience. She chere to catch the blood witches, not to help a bunch of childish souls move on. She flicked her hands, and a gust of sparks flew in the air.

"I said move!" "Easy there," said Mist. The snowy owl clicked her beak and shot a look of reproach to Tracy. "They just died and were left to suffer in these godawful lands. They are confused and scared; there is no need for you to terrorise them even further." "I am giving them what they need," remarked Tracy.

"And what do they need?" Echo asked. His tone was already filled with amusement as if he knew what Tracy was going to say.

"A good dose of shock-" "Tracy!" Tracy sighed. Annoyed with the continuous chiding, she snapped, "I need to do something more, something more fruitful than guiding them. Do you even know what might or can happen to her when I am not there with her?" Tracy was worried. Inez had no idea what she could do if she truly lost control; she was glad that Inez left that horrible place before she lost control of her powers. The fates might try to hide it from her, but she knew that Inez's powers did stir within her when she was being tormented and rubbed the wrong way in the Venus pack.

The Fates could lie all they wanted to her, but she was not a fool. If Inez's powers were still dormant, then she wouldn't have noticed a flicker of aether within her; her siren would have stayed low and wouldn't have beca big influence inside of her, but the truth was that Inez's siren was growing stronger, and so were her powers.

She was still dormant after all of this? Like hell she was. With her wolf turning latent, it had given her siren a chance to grow powerful, and this was all caused by the darned fates.

Unlike the gods and the goddess, who believed that they had extrcontrol over their children, Tracy knew better. Fate wasn't something that was written once, and it ended up being set in stone. No, it was like those computer memories that were always overwritten, changing again and again. Every second, every turn and every decision that was made would overwrite fate.

Maybe if Dominic had never rejected Inez, maybe if her wolf had never retreated within her, maybe if she had never met with Killian—the destiny written would have walked on the path that was already set, but with Dominic's decision that he made in a heat of a moment—the fate had changed, and no one knew what was going to happen now because the destiny was still being written over.

However, the gods were not willing to believe this theory of hers. Nor did they believe that the fate could be rewritten, and with the fates being too scared to tell them about the mess-up that they had done, Tracy didn't think that it was going to happen any tsoon.

And Inez was the only exception to the entire mess that was created by the fates.

That girl had no idea; if she unleashed her fury, she could even turn the entire world upside down if that was what she wanted.

"Dominic! You cannot do this to me!" Evelyn screeched as she looked at the man from behind the bar. For the first time, she had felt raw, real terror. Not only had Dominic banished her brother from the position of the enforcer, but he had also relayed to the elders about the big fuck-up that she had made.

After the elders of the pack found out that she had pushed Alpha Sokolov's woman off the balcony, the elders! turned theinbacks on her in a second. They didn't even wait for her to say a word to defend herself, and told Dominic that they needed to show their loyalty to the alliance. And what good way was there other than punishing her and her family? Evelyn could already imagine the chaos that might be reigning in her family and the anger and hatred of her brother toward her.

her way She stared at the man who was walking away from her and shouted, "Don't you dare walk away from me, Dom. Because if you do, then you will regret it. I know where Inez is!" to access chapters of early and in the highest quality.
